If you don’t have a Power of Attorney and you become incapable of looking after your affairs, the Court of Protection will appoint someone to make decisions for you (your Deputy). We would usually recommend you make a Lasting Power of Attorney but if you don’t have one our solicitors can help your friends or family through an application to the Court of Protection.
The process is long and can be complicated but we ensure each step is explained carefully and clearly.
We will guide your Deputy through the whole process so that, once appointed, he/she will, hopefully, have the confidence to deal with the Court of Protection without our help.
